DTF Pressing Guide
Step-by-step instructions for applying your Precision Printing transfers, so every press comes out durable and looking sharp.
Prep your garmentNo pre-pressing or pre-ironing needed — lay it flat on your press, smooth and free of wrinkles or debris.
Position the transferPlace it film-side up where you want it, completely flat. Use heat-resistant tape on hats or curved items so it doesn’t shift.
First pressHeat press settings:
🌡️ 300–320°F (150–160°C)💪 Firm, even pressure⏱️ 12–15 sec
🏠 Household iron: highest cotton setting, no steam, firm pressure, 15–20 sec, small circles
Peel while warmPeel the film off in one smooth motion while still warm, not hot. If a section resists, re-press briefly and try again.
Second press RecommendedLay parchment paper or a thin cloth over the design and press again for 10–15 seconds. This step meaningfully improves durability and softness, and reduces shine — don’t skip it.

Troubleshooting
Problem → fix
Edges lifting after wash
Fix: usually under-pressed — re-press with firm pressure for the full time, and always do the second press.
Transfer looks cracked
Fix: too much heat or not enough pressure. Lower the temperature slightly and press with firmer, even pressure.
Colors look dull or faded
Fix: check your press temperature is accurate — an infrared thermometer helps if your press runs cool.
UV sticker won’t stick
Fix: the surface likely wasn’t clean, or is textured/porous. Clean with rubbing alcohol; PermaStickers need a smooth, hard, non-flexible surface.
