Storage & Care Guide

How to store transfers you haven’t pressed yet, and how to care for finished products so they last.

📦 Storing Unused Transfers

  • Keep transfers flat or loosely rolled — avoid tight folds, which can crack the print.
  • Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Heat and UV exposure can weaken adhesive over time.
  • Keep transfers in their original packaging or a sealed bag until you’re ready to press — dust and moisture can affect adhesion.
  • Stored properly, unused transfers hold their quality for months — no rush to use them all right away.

👕 Caring for Pressed DTF Garments

  • Wash inside-out in cold water for the longest-lasting print.
  • Use a gentle or hand-wash cycle where possible — heavy machine cycles wear prints out faster.
  • Avoid bleach or fabric softener directly on the printed area.
  • Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Skip high-heat drying — it’s the single biggest cause of premature cracking or fading.
  • If ironing the garment later, iron inside-out and avoid direct heat on the print.
⭐ Expected durability: 50–100+ washes when pressed and cared for correctly

✨ Caring for UV DTF Stickers & Decals

  • Once applied, avoid touching or pressing on the design for the first 24 hours to let the adhesive fully set.
  • Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbing or harsh solvents.
  • PermaStickers are scratch- and weather-resistant, but aren’t rated for mission-critical or extreme-wear surfaces.
  • Best suited to smooth, rigid surfaces — glass, metal, hard plastic, wood. Not recommended for fabric, leather, or stretchy/flexible materials.
